Idaho Public Television’s tribute to 25 years of showcasing Idaho’s landscape and the activities residents and visitors enjoy earned a regional Emmy Award Saturday (May 30).
The Northwest Chapter National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awarded a statuette to OUTDOOR IDAHO 25TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL in the Informational/Instructional — Program/Special category.
“Everyone in our Production Department contributed to this show,” Executive Producer Bruce Reichert says. “It is a real group effort.”
The special includes memorable places, people, moments and memories during the four sections of the program: Our State, Our History; Issues & Passions; Favorite Stories and People Plus. It also includes interviews to update ongoing issues covered by the series. There is a segment on how production techniques have changed with technology, and another featuring a fireside chat about outdoor environments and opportunities. Idaho musician Curtis Stigers performs the music for an aerial sequence and all of IdahoPTV’s producers and videographers/editors share their favorite OUTDOOR IDAHO experiences.
The OUTDOOR IDAHO series airs Thursdays at 8:00/7:00 p.m. MT/PT and repeats Sundays at 7:00 p.m. MT/PT. It also airs several times throughout the week on IdahoPTV’s High Definition digital channel.
